Chateau Brane-Cantenac 2002

The 2002 vintage is sandwiched between an exceptional 2001 (which many Bordelais – myself too – prefer over 2000), and the rather austere heat-ravaged 2003. Although not a great vintage, 2002 can be good to very good. Being overlooked, 2002 represents exceptional value, as is the case with Brane. Aromatic. Bell pepper capsicum with a whiff of mint and a hint of cassis. Lifted, refreshing, and with crisp, elegant, balancing tannins. Medium-bodied. A charmer that will continue to evolve and delight into 2035. Decant 90 minutes to 2 hours.
