Imperial Treasure Restaurant Group, renowned for its Michelin-starred Chinese dining experiences, launched its first-ever Chinese Wine List at their 2-Star Michelin Shanghai restaurant in Yi Feng Galleria, and 2-Star Michelin and 1-Star Michelin Guangzhou restaurants, which together hold an impressive 5 Michelin stars!

This carefully curated selection marks a significant step in showcasing the rising quality and diversity of wines from China’s wine regions. 

The wine list features 9 exceptional wines from 8 acclaimed wineries, representing the distinct terroirs of Hebei, Ningxia, Shanxi, Shandong, Xinjiang, and Yunnan.

The selection is curated by CH’NG Poh Tiong, a world authority on Marselan, Chinese wine, and Japanese Koshu. A Bordeaux specialist (with more than a hundred trips to the region), CH’NG has written six books on Chinese cuisine and pairing wine with Chinese food. Ch’ng was Asia Regional Chair Decanter World Wine Awards since its inauguration in 2004 and contributor on China and Japan to the world’s best-selling wine guide Hugh Johnson Pocket Wine Book. He resigned both positions in May 2025 to go into consultancy work. CH’NG Poh Tiong is known in China by his romanised pinyin name ZHUANG Buzhong.

Chinese Wine List Launch Dinner was held at Imperial Treasure Fine Chinese Cuisine (Yi Feng Galleria) in Shanghai on 19 November 2025. CH’NG Poh Tiong was the Master of Ceremonies for the event, gathered an esteemed group of winery proprietors, winemakers, media representatives, influencers and wine enthusiasts to experience this selection.
