The inaugural FOREVER series was held in China.
Hangzhou Forever was a walkabout tasting on 11 January 2026 at the Dragon Hotel, bringing together industry influencers, journalists, educators, sommeliers, F&B executives, chefs, restaurateurs, wine shop owners, distributors, importers and wine enthusiasts to explore and interact with winery proprietor and winemakers.
Founder CH’NG Poh Tiong is a world authority on Marselan, Chinese wine, and Japanese Koshu. A Bordeaux specialist (with more than a hundred trips to the region), CH’NG has written six books on Chinese cuisine and pairing wine with Chinese food. Ch’ng was Asia Regional Chair Decanter World Wine Awards since its inauguration in 2004 and contributor on China and Japan to the world’s best-selling wine guide Hugh Johnson Pocket Wine Book. He resigned both positions in May 2025 to go into consultancy work.

With Riedel as the Official Glassware partner, guests embarked on a global journey on exploring over 140 wines from 32 wineries.
One of the core highlights was the exceptionally comprehensive and high-quality selection of Chinese wines. Participants had the unique opportunity to taste wines from Yunnan, Ningxia, Shanxi, Shandong, Xinjiang, and Hebei all in one place.
The tasting also showcased other renowned wine regions including Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Languedoc in France; Portugal’s Douro Valley; Japan’s Yamanashi; Australia’s Central Victoria; and New Zealand’s Marlborough and Central Otago.
Looking ahead, the FOREVER series will continue next year in Singapore. SINGAPORE FOREVER scheduled for Sunday 29 November 2026 at the exclusive TOWER CLUB, Republic Plaza, in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District. Stay tuned for further details.
