Chateau Haut-Brion 1978
Both reds were brought last Monday 22 March 2021 by dinner host Imperial Treasure Founder Alfred Leung. And paired with beef and lamb. Fully evolved, the perfume of sandalwood and smoky notes is very disarming. The sweetness of fruit and smooth tannins are carried by wave after wave of freshness.
Paul Jaboulet La Chapelle 1983
Although the younger wine, this was served after Haut-Brion 1978 because the grip of structure is quite dominant. But, before wine met lips, the mint was tremendously aromatic. Followed by red fruits and that resounding grip.
