A classic Bordeaux, the cherry/ berry/curranty fruit is balanced by crisp tannins, complete with a hint of tobacco. La Tour de By has origins going back to the 16th century. Decant 15 to 30 minutes for maximum enjoyment.
Another delicious pairing is Pagos del Rey Cano 2020 (S$9.50++ By the Glass or S$43++ a Bottle) from Toro.
This Spanish red is comprised of two varieties, Tempranillo and Garnacha, aka Grenache. Be swept away by the ripe, intense dark cherry/blackcurrant fruit caressed by rich, smooth tannins.
