Plaisir de Gassac is just that, a pleasure. To behold, open, and finish. Delicious as an aperitif, it is also wonderful around the pool or dining table.
This new wine from Languedoc’s famed Mas de Daumas Gassac is a sparkler, the bubbles created by a cuvé close (similar to Prosecco). It is very dry at 3 g/l which is equivalent to Brut Nature in Champagne. Plasir de Gassac has 2.5 bars of pressure, about half that of Champagne which is between 5 and 6 bars.
A pure chardonnay, Mas de Daumas Gassac had been looking for more than two years for fruit from a cool microclimate. They found it in Ardeche and Gers.
