The Tower Club – Singapore’s most exclusive private members club in the Central Business District – was the venue of The Great Bordeaux 2016 Tasting.
Organised by our website – www.chngpohtiong.com – it was held on Saturday 24 August 2019.
The capacity 330-crowd included media, wine educators, sommeliers, wine shop proprietors and their staff, wine merchants, distributors, Food & Beverage executives, and Bordeaux lovers.
The resounding verdict from participants was that Bordeaux 2016 is a great vintage.
The wines possess ripe intense fruit, rich tannins, freshness, and lots of energy and persistence. These are wines of great potential and with a mighty long future ahead of them.
We tasted 33 wines across a range of appellations including a single Bordeaux Superieur, Haut-Médoc, St-Estephe, Pauillac, St-Julien, Margaux, Pessac-Leognan, and St-Emilion.
