The holiday season starts in little more than two weeks.
Whether we celebrate Christmas or the Gregorian New Year, 2020 has been a horrible, please-not-again year.
We could certainly do with some sweetness. And sparkle.

Each set comprises 6 bottles of Demi-Sec, a bottle of Femme de Champagne Grand Cru Brut (not named on the label but is of the 2004 vintage), and a half-bottle of Femme de Champagne 2004.
Champagne authority Michael Edwards has pronounced 2004 of:
“Outstanding quality with excellent balance of fruit and acidity”
Vertus is a Premier Cru in the Cote des Blancs
Should you order a set, I think it worthwhile to enjoy Femme de Champagne Grand Cru Brut and Femme de Champagne 2004 one after the other. In that order.
Following them, treat yourself to the Demi-Sec*.
All three wines have outstanding bottle age.
Large, round glasses are recommended.
No more than two or three people in total for the 2 ½ bottles.
It would be a good way to bring sparkle and sweetness back to our frayed lives.
