Singapore is on track to have two-thirds of the population fully vaccinated by National Day 9 August 2021.
As of 26 July 2021, 77% has had a first dose, and 56% fully vaccinated, of the 5.56 m population.
Singapore’s national immunisation programme uses Pfizer-BioNTech and the Moderna vaccines.
Also on Monday 26 July 2021, the Singapore Government announced it is looking to allow – from September – quarantine-free travel for those who are fully vaccinated.
Singapore will also be reviewing lifting other restrictions in August.
Co-Chairman Multi-Ministry Covid Task Force Lawrence Wong is quoted by Reuters as saying:
“If you want to go out to dine in the restaurant or workout in the gym, you have to be fully vaccinated”.
