Concha y Toro Sauvignon Blanc Reserva 2018

2018 is one of the best vintages in Chile. Apart from the grapes being fully ripened and concentrated, the corresponding coolness also preserved, even enhanced, freshness. This Sauvignon is delicious proof of that.

The new silk screen bottle – and on screw cap – announces that all that pent-up fruitiness is simply waiting for a big glass (my empty bottle is now holding water on the side of the fridge). Light green straw. Scented, aromatic. Green guavas and passion fruit. The eager fruitiness has a wonderful spring onion spicy cut to it. Lifted, crisp and uber refreshing. Delicious on its own,  watching the sun set, and around a barbecue by the beach or pool. Great too with finger foods, dim sum, tempura, and Korean seafood pancake.
