Champagne Gamet

Family-owned, family-managed, and with the same family producing the wines, CHAMPAGNE GAMET has vineyards located on both the Right Bank and Left Bank of the Marne River.

The fourth-generation is in place today, making wines that are fruity, deliciously accessible, dry – even very dry – and textural because of their high percentage of black grapes, namely Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir.

The vines are 25 to 50 years old and the family work their vineyards sustainably, having earned the French “High Environmental Value”  certification.

Champagne Gamet Rive Droite Blanc de Noirs Brut

Bright light gold. Citrus, quince and apples. The bubbles are very fine resulting in a persistent creamy mousse. A lovely balance of forward fruit, medium-plus body and supple vivacity. If you find some champagne too acidic or too bubbly, you will love Champagne Gamet Rive Droite or “Right Bank” because the freshness is round and creamy. The dosage is 7g/l and the wine aged on lees for 30 months, twice the legal requirement. The blend is 60% Pinot Meunier and 40% Pinot Noir making this a Blanc de Noirs. Very enjoyable as a aperitif, Rive Droite is delicious with sashimi, sushi, tempura, pakora, and Cantonese dim sum.

Champagne Gamet Caracteres Extra Brut

A distinct, alluring fragrance of honey. There’s also quince, ripe lemons and brioche. Intensity, persistence, and length of fruit. Medium-plus bodied with a firm, round, dry, authoritative finish. The dosage is very low, just 4 g/l.  Aged on lees for an incredible 6 ½ years (when the legal requirement is just 15 months). Impressive wine. Superb on its own and outstanding with sashimi, sushi, tempura, pakora, Cantonese dim sum, ham, cured meats, shellfish and fish.
