“Sommalay” Faizal Zainudin will preside at Somm’s Table tomorrow
Tomorrow night – Wednesday 16 December 2020 – two wine related events will take place in Singapore.
The first begins at 6 pm at the Raffles Singapore.
Butcher’s Block is the hotel’s very smart restaurant just next to their iconic Long Bar.
From 6 to 7 pm, “Sommalay” Faizal Zainudin will introduce four cuvées of Champagne Billecart-Salmon. The quartet of wines is priced at $118++ per guest.
“Sommalay” is the nickname Faizal has acquired because he is a Malay and a sommelier.
Somm’s Table takes place every Wednesday and Thursday at the restaurant’s Sommelier’s Table. The same stands out at Butcher’s Block not only because it is, literally, higher than all other seating in the restaurant but also as it is surrounded by the wine library.
