The Macau restaurant is opened by Fortaleza do Guincho, the 5-star hotel in Portugal which has a restaurant of the same name.
Fortaleza do Guincho has been a Michelin 1-star restaurant since 2001. Situated next to the Atlantic Ocean, Fortaleza do Guincho is located in Estrada do Guincho 2750-642, Cascais, 35 km west of Lisbon.
As for the Macau restaurant, Guincho a Galera is inside Hotel Lisboa, an institution in Macau. Although owned by the same proprietor, it is not to be mistaken for Grand Lisboa, a more modern hotel and casino.
Guincho a Galera offers authentic Portuguese cuisine. The wine list has 31 pages of dessert and fortified wines including from Australia, Austria, California, France, Hungary, Italy, New Zealand, Portugal, South Africa, Slovenia and Spain. Overall, the list has about 17,000 labels, available in all the restaurants and lounges of Hotel Lisboa.
