This is an exceptional bargain at S$38. I had picked it up from Duty-Free Singapore. The bottle size is 700 ml rather than the more usual 1 litre at duty-free. But, at S$38, it’s a steal. And delicious too. This is a 100% blended or vatted malt but not from a single distillery. It doesn’t really matter because the blending has been accomplished to a very high standard. The malts are from Speyside, the Highlands and Islay. Bright light gold. On the nose, heather, orange peel and a whiff of peat. The lively, bright fruitiness is wrapped in a delicate Sherry-ied sweetness. Medium-bodied. Better as an aperitif. Or a light digestif.
