CH’NG Poh Tiong
Yokohama will be the venue of a 9-course WELCOME DINNER FOR CHINESE WINERIES paired with 9 wines from 9 Chinese wineries from Hebei, Ningxia, Shandong, Shanxi, Xinjiang and Yunnan, and a French sparkling Blanquette de Limoux.
This will be the first time a dinner featuring Chinese wineries on such a major scale in Japan.
The Welcome Dinner will take place Sunday 13 April 2025 in the ballroom of the Rose Hotel Yokohama which is also home to Chungking Szechwan, the first Sichuan restaurant in Yokohama.
Proprietors Teddy and Alex Lee will be present to honour the vision of their late parents who opened the first Sichuan restaurant in Yokohama 66 years ago in 1959.
Yokohama is home to the most popular and largest Chinatown in Japan and Asia. Rose Hotel Yokohama is in Chinatown
Some of Japan’s most influential and renowned wine personalities – journalists, influencers, educators, and sommeliers – will also grace the event.
Diners are in for a truly special extra treat as the proprietors and representatives of the Chinese wineries will be present at the Welcome Dinner.
There will be a photographer from Tokyo to record this historic occasion.
Participants will be able to download the photographs – free of charge – from a special link so that they will have a unique souvenir of the exclusive event.

All participants of the Welcome Dinner will receive
