TASTING NOTES
SCALLYWAG YEAR OF THE OX LIMITED EDITION is made up of a handful of the finest Speyside Single Malts including The Macallan, Mortlach, Inchgower, and Glenrothes. Matured 100% in Sherry cask which had been used previously to hold Oloroso and Pedro Ximinéz, the deep amber gold shine is entirely natural. Bottled without chill filtration and at 48%, Year of the Ox Limited Edition is rich, ripe, heathery, honeyed, smooth, sweet, and a warm, opulent embrace of Scottish hospitality. Scallywag is the name of the fox terrier which belonged to Fred Laing, second-generation chairman of Douglas Laing & Co.
