Finding something to eat on a Sunday – let alone a public holiday – in France can be challenging. The next time you are in Bordeaux, it’s useful to know that Au Bureau Merignac is open 7 days a week:

11 am to 12 midnight (last order 2230 hrs) Sunday to Thursday
11 am to 0100 hr (last order 2300 hrs) Friday & Saturday

Au Bureau Merignac is within walking distance of the hotels around Bordeaux Merignac Airport. Located at 87 Avenue J F Kennedy, the décor of the pub brasserie is inspired by London pubs, and is particularly famous for its hamburgers.

Prices are reasonable, including draft and bottled beer and wines by the glass, carafe and bottle. Parking is plentiful in front of Au Bureau Merignac and across the road.
