You get an idea of the motivation of people by the name they choose.
Vinaceous Wines refers to their red as Syrah, not Shiraz.
Even though it is an Australian winery.
Right Reverend V Syrah 2017 aims for the elegance of the Northern Rhone over the brazen body of Aussie – particularly Barossa Valley – Shiraz.

Established in 2007, Vinaceous Wines is owned and operated by winemakers Michael Kerrigan and Gavin Berry.
In making their range of refined Australian wines, Kerrigan and Berry get fruit from top vineyards in the premium maritime wine regions of Margaret River, Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale.
The duo incorporates many organic principles into the vineyards including, for example, that no glyphosate herbicides be used. Sustainability is the goal.
Michael Kerrigan and Gavin Berry have been making wine in Western Australia for a combined 50 something years.
Kerrigan is owner and winemaker of Hay Shed Hill Wines in Margaret River while Berry is owner and winemaker at West Cape Howe Wines in the Great Southern.
The two pour their expertise, aspirations and passion into Vinaceous Wines.

Garnet with a ruby rim. Singing with raspberry/dark cherry fruit and sweet, supple tannins. A roundness of freshness to ensure the succulent structure is in perfect harmony with the juicy fruit. The grapes are from “most revered vineyards” in Mount Barker, Western Australia. Vinaceous Wines is rated a maximum 5 Stars by Australian writer James Halliday.
