The 11th generation proprietor of Riedel Glass Maximilian Riedel has been working for the company since 1997. In 2013, his father Georg Josef Riedel handed over the business to him. Maximilian is also designer of decanters and glasses. One of his well-known design is the Riedel “O” Series, consisting of stemless varietal specific wine glasses, which was launched in 2004
Maximilian Riedel is returning to Singapore after four years.
On Thursday 21 March 2024, the Austrian will conduct the Riedel Veloce Tasting at Sands Expo & Convention Centre.
Maximilian selected the Italian name “Veloce”, meaning “fast”, because although produced by machine, the glass weight and balance is very similar to a handmade glass.
During the tasting, Maximilian Riedel will demonstrate how the shape of a glass can completely transform the flavour of four different wines.
The price of Riedel Veloce Tasting is S$228 nett per person, which includes the Riedel Veloce Tasting Set (4 Glasses • Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay ) worth S$272.
