Marcel Bertaud invited friends to dinner at Jade Palace last Monday 12 October 2020 in their Wine Room. Guests included Tomohiro Iwata, principal shareholder of Japanese restaurant ESORA and distributor of IWA5, the sake made by Richard Geoffroy, retired Chef de Caves of Dom Perignon. Bertaud is based in Singapore but travels regularly to Japan where he has a home in Tokyo. He had studied Japanese at university in France and also graduated from Waseda, one of Japan’s most prestigious universities. The Frenchman is Senior Advisor to French diary giant Danone, Asia Director of Champagne Laurent-Perrier, and a Director of Yakult Vietnam.
