Thank you very much Basile for showing the family gems. Back to back Mas de Daumas Gassac Rouge 2009 and 1996. The 2009 is still very youthful, taut with black fruit and locked in tannins. Elder brother 1996 has entered the tertiary plane but with sustained ageing potential. A whiff of sandalwood, leather, tobacco, mint and blackcurrant surfing on silky tannins and unforgiving freshness. A great dinner at Imperial Treasure Shanghai Singapore with razor fine friends.
