ABK6 Founder Francis Abecassis with CEO daughter Elodie
ABK6 is the very clever homonym of Abecassis. Created in 2005 by namesake Francis Abecassis.
The fact ABK6 is a cognac brand immediately throws the old stuffy image of the French brandy out of the window. Ushering in a sense of fun, brimming youthfulness, and gravity-defying vibrancy!!!
ABK6 CEO daughter Elodie and Founder Francis Abecassis personify all those qualities not usually associated with cognac.
Francis Abercassis was formerly a winegrower producer in the south of France. When he went north to Cognac about 25 years ago, he brought those same instincts to the world’s most famous brandy. From being acutely mindful of the vineyard to harvesting the grapes (100% Ugni Blanc) to vinification, distilling, ageing, blending and, finally, bottling.
Domaines Francis Abecassis is today the proud owner of 460 hectares of vines spread over three of Cognac’s six crus, namely Fins Bois, Petit Champagne and Grande Champagne (the other three being Bois Ordinaires, Bons Bois, and Borderies). ABK6 is dedicated to the idea of origin and terroir.

All of ABK6 cognac is produced 100% from Ugni Blanc
Prior to creating his own brand, Francis Abercassis had acquired Cognacs Reviseur and Leyrat. It is, however, the birth of ABK6 that has caught the most attention in and beyond Cognac.
Audacious, innovative, and bold, launching ABK6 was like throwing down the gauntlet to conservative Cognac. Since then, cognac has added a spring to its step and acquired a new swagger. Go ABK6 Go!
