Accor – the French hospitality giant with 39 brands and 5,000 hotels in 110 countries – is closing two-thirds of its hotels because of Covid 19. Ninety of the countries where Accor has hotels are under travel bans or/and quarantines. Shares of Accor for the year to date have plummeted 45%. Even worse off are America’s Marriott Group which is down 56% and Hilton, down 63%.
