Welcome to EDITION 721 of GRAPEVINE

Sincerest apologies for having gone “off air” for the last week.

 

We were putting the final touches to our new magazine.

The same will be printed in Guangzhou.

100 will then be launched at a dinner in Hong Kong on Monday 21 January 2019.

The dinner is completely full.

In fact, we have had to stop taking reservations even though dinner is still a month away.

A combination of factors are involved.

There is, of course, the fact the dinner will take place at Fook Lam Moon, Hong Kong’s most famous restaurant, which nickname is “Canteen of the Tycoons”.

Then, of course, there are the wines of Domaine Clarence Dillon, which includes Chateau Haut-Brion, La Mission Haut-Brion and Chateau Quintus.

They will be supported by Champagne Laurent-Perrier (from magnum), and The Macallan Rare Cask.

On the night itself, 100 will be given out to participants.

This is the Simplified Chinese edition.

The Traditional Chinese and English editions are e-versions and will be found on a new website www.100chineserestaurants.com.

Our office will be closed next week because of the printing in Guangzhou and the next posting on our websites will be on Friday 28 December 2018.
