Benoit Tokyo General Manager & Chef Sommelier Yoshinori Nagata

In 2005, 25 year-old Yoshinori Nagata started his career at the Hilton Tokyo Bay hotel as a waiter. 

Nagata later joined V de Bistrot Vionys as sommelier. Nagata was then appointed as sommelier and restaurant manager of Yakitori et Vin Poussin, the restaurant owned by one of Japan’s top sommeliers Makoto Abe.

In April 2011, Nagata started his journey with Alain Ducasse owned Benoit as Benoit Tokyo Chef Sommelier

Located in Aoyama, Benoit Tokyo was opened in 2005, the same year Ducasse bought the original Parisian Benoit first established in 1912.

One hundred years ago, Benoit opened its doors in Paris in 1912, it remains a warm and cozy restaurant loved by its Parisian customers

Nagata assumed the role as General Manager of Benoit Tokyo in 2021, after devoting a decade to the restaurant.  

Nagata continues taking care of Benoit Kyoto’s wine list together with Gerard Margeon, Executive Chef Sommelier of Ducasse Paris.

Yoshinori Nagata started his journey with Benoit as Chef sommelier of Benoit Tokyo in April 2011. He speaks fluent Japanese and English

Benoit Tokyo was opened in 2005 by French chef Alain Ducasse who had earlier purchased the original French Benoit in April of that year
