Singapore will become the new venue of Young Talent Escoffier Asia-Pacific in 2023. The relocation of the annual culinary competition from Hong Kong to the Lion City is permanent.
One of the most prestigious competitions in the world, YTE APAC will elevate Singapore to an important regional culinary capital.
Champion chefs from the following countries and territories will descend on Singapore from 25 to 27 April 2023 to determine who will emerge winner of Young Talent Escoffier Asia-Pacific.
- Hong Kong
- New Caledonia
- South Korea
- Tahiti-French Polynesia
Named for Auguste Escoffier – referred to as “The Chef of Kings & The King of Chefs” – the Frenchman was well-known for his devotion to transmitting skills and expertise to the next generation.
Chefs competing in Young Talent Escoffier must be below 25 years.
Following national and regional Young Talent Escoffier competitions, five teams will proceed to the international final which takes place one year in France and another year in a city with a strong gastronomic heritage.
Young Talent Escoffier Asia-Pacific is endorsed by Singapore Tourism Board.
The competition dates 25 & 26 April 2023 will be held at FoodHotel Asia.

Disciples of Escoffier International Singapore Delegation President & Honorary President, Singapore Chefs Association, Edmund Toh has nominated CH’NG Poh Tiong his Co-Chair for Young Talent Escoffier Asia-Pacific 2023.
CH’NG is tasked with the responsibility of curating the wines and spirits for the Welcome Dinner featuring “Singapore Street Food” on 25 April 2023, and the Black & Wine Gala Dinner on 27 April 2023 when the winner of YTE APAC will be announced.
