Proprietors Misha and Andy Wilkinson had lived in Singapore for 17 years. They held regional positions for leading information technology companies in marketing and sales respectively. When it came time to start the second half of their lives, they went to New Zealand (where Andy comes from and which Aussie Misha adopted by “acquisition” since she married him) in search of a vineyard. After 18 months, they found their perfect spot in Bendigo Station in Central Otago where on 8 November 2004, the first vines were planted. Light pale in colour. Aromatic, including pomelo, passionfruit, and pink guava. The fruity palate is zesty and minerally. Medium-plus bodied and very harmonious.
