This relatively young estate took roots in 1947 when Gabriel d’Ardhuy met his future wife Eliane Andre at a harvest. Their union gave birth to the domaine and seven daughters. Le Clos des Langres has a manor house and the 3. 15 hectares of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are a monopole. It was first planted in the 10th Century by monks of the Cluny Order. This Sauvigny-les-Beaune Premier Cru is packed with persistent raspberry fruit. The tannins are utterly silky. Bright, lifted, elegant Pinot Noir that is what Burgundy should be all about. Stunning!
