Patrick Javillier Les Clousots Meursault 2012

Patrick Javillier is one of the greatest producers of Meursault. A benchmark white Burgundy that you measure others against. I am utterly grateful to Ignatius Chan, Founder/Proprietor of Iggy’s the restaurant – one of the most knowledgeable persons in the world about Burgundy – for bringing this to dinner. Bright straw/yellow. Incredibly youthful in complexion and on palate. Green/ripening pineapples, citrus, mineral and flint. Effortlessly balanced. Still in its primary/approaching secondary evolution. Enjoyable now but will be even more gorgeous between 3 and 5 years. And beyond. Tertiary evolution expected between 2025 and 2030.
