ESORA remains one of the hottest dining tickets in Singapore. Fully booked to November, there is a long waiting list to get in. Marcel Bertaud recently hosted dinner there for Capital Radio 95.8 host Qi Qi and CH’NG Poh Tiong. Chef Shigeru Koizumi wowed with an exceptional autumn menu. Frenchman Bertaud is based in Singapore but travels regularly to Japan where he has a home in Tokyo. He had studied Japanese at university in France and also graduated from Waseda, one of Japan’s most prestigious universities which counts as its alumni, seven Prime Ministers of the country, and CEOs and Chairmen – present and former – of UNIQLO, Sony, Honda, Toshiba, Mitsubishi and Nintendo. Marcel Bertaud is Senior Advisor to French diary giant Danone, Asia Director of Champagne Laurent-Perrier, and a Director of Yakult Vietnam.
