CH’NG Poh Tiong
Situated in Qiu Shan Valley, Penglai, Shandong, this is Mystic Island’s maiden vintage. Fragrant, including pears and green melon but also with a distinctive bouquet of oak staves. Medium-bodied, the fruit is delicate and fresh. Good, sensitive winemaking but let down by the quality of the oak which stings and is a bit raw. A winery to watch.
